Xinhua
The worlds largest news agency - China's state news agency Xinhua - employed Sunbury Heights to both design and build their new 8500m2 Moscow hub. An old Russian kindergarten building was to be extensively renovated, with an additional floor and restaurant block, to house a much larger team of international journalists with all necessary infrastructure.
As overall project and cost managers, it wasnt our first choice to have all design and construction under our contractual umbrella, but due to the complexity of the project and the number of local and state approvals required both to adapt the building and to ensure the higher utility supply metrics that were required we agreed with the client to have all work under our wing.
The result was a great success for both Xinhua and ourselves and a Grand Opening unveiled a plaque thanking Sunbury Heights for our work.
